| Prayer Shawl/Blanket
Ministry of Grace Church |
“We love, because
He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
Come join us as we enjoy fellowship, knit, pray and serve
God. |

| Reaching
those in need.... |
| Through our prayer shawl ministry, God
is reaching out to those in need. Perhaps you or someone
you know has suffered a loss, is ill, distressed, young
or elderly, or in hospice. Shawls woven by hand with compassion
and love are give by us as tangible reminder of God‘s
presence. They are evidence of prayer, inspired by Him
to bring comfort to others. |

For
The Knitter...
You’ll be praying for the recipient while
you knit their shawl or blanket. They’re
blessed by both the prayer and the shawl and so
are you. There are two groups that meet once a
month; one pm and one am. You don’t have
to know how to knit… you can be any age
male or female. Recipients are those who need
God’s love, comfort, grace and healings
of all kind. You will never be the same…
nor will they. This is your invitation to love.
For
The Recipient...

by the Prayer Shawl-Blanket Ministry of Grace
Church, Ridgewood, NJ. As it was created we prayed
for you. We asked the Lord to bless you with
courage and strength. May it wrap you in His
comfort and peace.”
The daytime knitting group meets the last Wednesday
of every month from 10:30a.m. until 12 noon
in Wyckoff.

Testimonies...
“Because I am alone every day, it is such
a priveledge to meet with friends as we knit and
pray together. My heart is blessed to know that
people’s needs are met as they receive our
shawls.” Florence Tyler “I
was in awe and deeply touched by the gift of the
beautiful prayer shawl. I didn’t even know
the ministry existed or that people still knitted.
I found out that not only did they spend a lot
of time in the making of the shawl, but that they
prayed for me as they made it. I had just gone
through one of the roughest times of my life and
receiving the shawl was an incredible gift of
love and comfort. Shortly thereafter, I joined
the ministry to return the favor to someone else
in need of God’s love and comfort. The prayer
shawl ministry team is a loving and fun bunch.
They are the best. I encourage you to join us
in showing God’s Love and Comfort to someone
in need today!” Charlie Devine
“Thank you for the beautiful blanket your
church made, it really blessed me. I have it near
me all the time.”

| Do You Find Yourself... |
| Anxious, depressed, fearful, insecure, worried? Are you grieving the loss of a loved one, a divorce, a lost opportunity, an empty nest, the loss of a pet? Are you addicted to shopping, pornography, gambling, food, drugs, alcohol? Are you not living an abundant life? If so, then consider joining us. |

A safe environment for men and women to share...
The programs we choose are biblically based and designed to help us identify the areas in our lives that keep us "stuck". Unstuck provides us an opportunity to seek and/or improve our relationship with God. These programs challenge us to move our understanding and/or relationship with God from our minds, to our hearts and ultimately to our hands and feet as we put this new experience into action.
Meeting Schedule
We meet every Monday in the lower auditorium at Grace Church at 7:00 PM. We begin with dinner, move into a group lesson and then break down into gender specific small groups.
We hope you’ll consider joining us as we work towards having a life that is abundant and God seeking.

| Bergen County Society |
| Practically speaking, Bergen County Society
is a group of men who get together generally every 2nd
and 4th Friday morning, to hear brilliant and inspiring
speakers, to crack dumb jokes, and to enjoy each other's
company. On a more profound level we are a group of men
who are committed to each other and to God. We are passionately
interested in seeing meaningful relationships ("friendships
in Jesus") develop among men so that we might become
better husbands and fathers. We believe that by putting
God and our families first we will be better at everything
else we do, both in our places of employment and in our
respective communities. |
